After my trip to Oregon I did not head home, instead I met Sean in Utah. This was a perfect opportunity to see family and spend some time with Harrison and Ragen in their new home.
While attending Utah State the mountains made me feel claustrophobic. Yes, they were beautiful in the fall, but the winter was brutal. Everything was white. The mountains, valley, streets, everything. I couldn't escape the feeling of the mountains closing in.
Now, lets fast forward 30ish years.
After living on the east coast and experiencing dense forests, flat land and the highest elevation to give you a view is either your rooftop or an over pass, the mountains feel amazing.
I can't believe how much I have missed rolling hills, valleys and MOUNTAINS. Thank you Utah for filling this need for five days.
Before heading up to Logan we were able to have dinner with Grady and Michelle, Sean's brother. I love catching up with them. They have been on some amazing adventures lately.
My aunt said I would never remember her birthday because it was the day after my anniversary. Guess what? I have remembered every year. This year I took her out for breakfast. I love her hugs. Soft and squishy.

Harrison and Ragen bought a beautiful home. Oh my goodness. They have a walk-in pantry. Beautiful trim work. The 3 1/2 car garage is a dream. Their home feels like home nestled in a small neighborhood with great views of the mountains and sunsets. It is wonderful.

I have heard about Vintage Market Days in Logan from Riss and Ragen. The two of them have talked about how amazing it is for a few years. This year I got to go. This was the cutest, largest vintage, antique, home decor, art, clothing, jewelry, homemade treasures and yummy treats I have ever attended.
It took us two visits to go through the entire fair grounds. I did not want to miss a single booth. We found so many things and had so much fun that I will be going again.

GO Logan Grizzleys!
I love football season. I love that our son is coaching football at a great school with a wonderful group of men. He is learning a lot about coaching while having fun.
One of the best parts of my visits with Harrison and Ragen is when I get to go to school with Harrison. He is so talented. The way he connects with the high schoolers was incredible. He teaches, guides, encourages, pushes, challenges all while having fun. I loved getting to meet students, staff and watching this boy of mine do his thing.
We were spoiled to see both a JV and Varsity game. The JV game didn't go as hoped, but the weather was nice, we were able to see Harrison in action as a coach and enjoy our seats at the home field.
Between rain showers we were off to Ogden for the varsity football game. Little did we know that there were tornado and flash flood warnings all around us. All I could focus on was the amazing colors of the sunset and watching my kiddo guide the defensive line.
Being in Utah means that we get to see some of our friends from home. One of Harrison's closest friends from high school came to the game with is family and brother. It felt like our typical Friday nights in Forest Grove when Harrison played football. Love getting caught up.
The Logan Grizzleys played a great game and eeked out a win! Harrison was so proud of the defensive line.
Ragen and Harrison are incredible homemakers. Ragen loves to can and preserve their favorite foods. Harrison enjoys building furniture for Ragen to fill a need they have or furniture for a special place. On our last day Sean was able to help Harrison with a few projects and I was able to pick up some fall fresh foods for a yummy dinner. Ragen had already canned tomatoes and froze corn, so we got to finish our quilt fabric shopping, hang pictures and relax.
This was one of my most favorite visits with them. We got to do a little of everything, we even tried a colonial ice cream place. Yummy ice cream with creative flavor names.
I love watching our children grow into adults. Each of them have big dreams and they are working on making them a reality. It is a gift as a parent to get to be part of that.
Love you Bud, Love you Ragen. Our visit was amazing.
